In 2002, Ken Griffiths was commissioned by Conde Nast to visit the recluse mountain nation of Bhutan. Travelling with renowned writer John Ryle, not knowing quite what to expect. Bhutan had been—until relatively recently—a closed kingdom, with few being able to freely enter and behold its majestic sights.
