THE CARIBBEAN
In 1990 Ken visited the Bahamas to develop a campaign for their tourist trade. Asked to capture the tranquil Bahamian life and its landscapes. He would also go on to visit Jamaica too, below are a small selection of images from both trips.
"In Idyllic weather, with exceptional settings, Ken photographed a bone fisherman in Long Island, a beach, a school and a street scene around Governor's Harbour on Eleuthera and we also visited Exuma. Every now and then, Ken would go missing for a few moments, always to capture a portrait of somebody who had caught his eye. The Gandolfi would be moved from place to place at lightning speed.
With his trademark, respectful manner punctuated by that explosive make-you-jump laugh, he by turns charmed and startled the locals into willing accomplices. Always dignified, they warmed to his rapid patter and gentlemanly consideration."
